Style Fit: The ultimate statement accent for Japandi, Organic Modern, Rustic Luxury, and Scandinavian Minimalist retail curation.
Bring wild, untamed luxury and sophisticated organic warmth to your storefront. Crafted by Van Buren (operating since 1861), our Icelandic sheepskin in Natural Brown is the ultimate statement piece for texture-driven interiors. Characterized by its signature long, soft staples and a subtle natural sheen, this premium hide offers a voluminous, extra-fluffy look that shorter-haired breeds simply cannot match. Whether draped over a chair or used as a plush rug, it provides unparalleled comfort and a raw, grounding aesthetic.
Why the Icelandic Longhair is a Premium Interior Essential
Exceptional Volume: The unique dual-coated Icelandic wool features long, flowing outer guard hairs and a remarkably soft undercoat, creating a thick, luxurious pile that catches the light beautifully on retail shelves.
100% Natural Earthy Tones: No artificial dyes or bleaches are used. Each skin is completely unique, showcasing the deep, authentic "Natural Brown" tones found only in authentic Icelandic breeds, ranging from rich chocolate to warm espresso and copper-tipped highlights.
Versatile Decor: Perfectly sized at 90–100 cm to add deep warmth and tactile contrast to a minimalist Scandinavian bench, a sleek modern leather armchair, or a cozy bedside floor layout.
Professional Care & Longevity Guide
To ensure your clients enjoy their Icelandic sheepskin for decades, share these essential care tips:
The Do’s: Regularly shake or beat the skin outdoors to remove dust and restore its signature wild volume. Use a dedicated wool comb to keep the long fibers loose and prevent felting. If placed in dry environments (such as homes with underfloor heating), occasionally mist the wool lightly with water to keep the leather backing supple.
The Don’ts: Do not machine wash or submerge in water, as moisture can cause the leather backing to dry, shrink, or crack. Spot clean only. Avoid placing in direct, harsh sunlight to maintain the beautiful, rich integrity of the natural brown hues.
Vi behandlar beställningar i den ordning de kommer in. Leveranstiden kan vara något längre än vanligt – i linje med vårt fokus på ett långsammare, mer medvetet köpbeteende. Hantering kan ta extra tid under de två första veckorna i varje månad.
